Bowen Backpackers - re-opened in fabulous, brand new, purpose built premises at the end of January 2002. Located on the Whitsunday Coast, 45 minutes drive north of Airlie Beach. The town is almost completely surrounded by award winning beaches.

Bowen is home to a multi-million dollar fruit and vegetable industry. In additional to the fruit and vegetable crops three large scale seedling nurseries in Bowen Shire supply fruit and vegetables seedlings locally and throughout Queensland.

	Bowen Backpackers has an excellent reputation with the local farmers and together with some of the best farms in the area, we can provided a fun and profitable experience for all.
